Isaiah 30:18...Worth The Wait...

"Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!”

Waiting is something that we find ourselves doing and usually it goes not make us very happy. We have become indoctrinated into the culture of instant gratification and we expect everything quickly. Just imagine a time when you might reach out to a loved one and not hear back from them for weeks because of the delivery of the mail by horseback. Or not being able to see loved ones simply because the trip would take a month. We have become spoiled by the inventions surrounding us that allow for expedited travel and instant communication. This causes a bit of stress that we do not readily acknowledge in the anticipation of delivery and receipt. Take a deep breath, relax, understand that the waiting is just a part of the process and then look and see the text above about how blessed we are as we wait for our Lord.
