Matthew 3:16-17...Forgiveness of Sins...
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
Throughout His ministry Jesus taught and showed us many things. One of these was through baptism (that He did not need because He had no sin) that would symbolize the washing away of our sins as we place our faith and hope in Him. This would be an outwardly expression of the inwardly change that had occurred within our heart once we place our faith in Jesus. Our trust in God compels us to follow His will for our lives, leaning on Jesus and believing that He is working things together for our good despite our current circumstances. Our hope and faith carry us through each day. Pray today that God will walk before you and show you the many things He has in store for you.
Blessings,
Alan
