Mark 9:23-24...Help My Unbelief...

“If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

We believe in Jesus. It is a primary component of our salvation, however there are times in each of our lives that we wonder if Jesus can heal or change our circumstances or if He is hearing our prayers at all. These doubts are common and they are a tool that satan uses to try and separate us from our faith. The boy’s father in the passage above had a great prayer that we should also use when we find ourselves in a doubtful situation. “I believe, help me overcome my unbelief”. Jesus help me overcome my doubts and fears, strengthen me with your almighty power and give me peace. Keep in mind that our Heavenly Father loves us and is always there for us in everything we encounter.
