Galatians 5:13-15...Freedom To Serve...

My brothers and sisters, you were chosen to be free. But don’t use your freedom as an excuse to live under the power of sin. Instead, serve one another in love. The whole law is fulfilled by obeying this one command. “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” (Leviticus 19:18) If you say or do things that harm one another, watch out! You could end up destroying one another.

Faith has given us the freedom to live in the spirit of love but many have used it as a license to do whatever they please and often that has created a life that is lived in sin without realization. A good measure of our lives would be to look at our love for each other and our how we express that love to everyone around us. We serve Christ in faith and love and share that love with others. Christ loved us enough to sacrifice himself for our salvation thereby teach us how to love. If we are not careful we fall into the trap of the sinful nature that each of us carries within. We must be careful to do no harm to each other but rather lift each other up with love and compassion, seeking how best to serve our fellow man.

Blessings,
