Colossians 4:5-6...Use The Opportunity...
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Quick tempers and unfiltered responses are not good for our witness, especially around those we do not know. Our temperament and composure should reflect the love and grace that we hold dear to our hearts. Every time we respond poorly we miss an opportunity to display the power of Christ that lives within us. Even more our casual conversation should be such that those that hear our words can readily identify us as children of God. That can be easier said than done but a good start to each day is in the Word of God and listening to His teachings, following the example of Christ and learning how to show grace when it is not merited. It is a journey and it requires endurance and patience.
