Micah 5:2...Small but Significant...
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times.”
From Old Testament times the promise rings out once again about the birth of Jesus. From the birthplace of King David, Bethlehem, a quiet little place, would come Christ our Lord. When we look at things around us we need to take notice of the small things, the unsuspecting things that seem insignificant. Most people in the Old Testament times regarded Bethlehem as just a small and nowhere kind of town. We tend to do the same, always looking for the excitement and glitter we miss the small things. We overlook the small joys of life and often miss out on the true blessings of life. Let’s be cautious and take the time during this Christmas season to really see the people and things that surround our everyday lives. Embrace the blessings and thank God each day for His love and mercy.
Blessings,
