Isaiah 9:6...Promise Made...

For to us a child is born,
    to us a son is given,
    and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The promise was made many years before the birth of Jesus. The prophecy was made and still few believed. We live in very chaotic times, yet if we study the Bible we find that this has always been the case. Our world has struggled with hate and with war constantly. Greed and covetousness abound making men confused about their future or purpose, however, there is no need for confusion or wandering in the weeds. God promised a solution and He fulfilled it with the birth of Jesus. As we move toward Christmas and the celebration of Christ’s birth let us remember that God loves us more than we can possibly imagine. He gave us the gift of His Son, Jesus, and through Him provided the only way for our forgiveness from sin. Let us lift up our praise and honor to Christ Jesus and be thankful for ALL that He has done…
