Acts 20:22-24...Press On...

“And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Paul faced many hardships during his missionary journeys, more than we are likely to ever have to face. Never-the-less he continued forward with spreading the gospel message and saving grace of Jesus Christ. He was convinced, as we should be, that this was the greatest purpose of his life. The world is frantically trying to claim victory through wealth, accolades and peer review yet none of these will bring satisfaction, comfort or joy in the end. Jesus is our rock, our provider our Savior. Let’s spend time telling the world about His saving grace and endless mercy through our words and how we live.

Blessings,
