John 4:7-9...Grace and Peace...

When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)

Separations between mankind have been around for a very long time. Whether it is based on religion, ethnic background, where you live or who you associated with, the division is evident. Division is tool of satan and the more we allow him to divide or separate us from each other the more freedom and success we give to the father of all lies. We are all guilty of making snap judgements of people based on some dynamic that we have heard, experienced or witnessed in someone else’s life. Our lives should reflect the ways of Christ. Even though Jesus knew peoples’ faults and shortcomings He shared His love and taught them the way of salvation. This should be our model rather than the model  the world sets forth with hate and violence. We are compelled to show the world love and compassion, to spread the gospel message of Jesus and to lead others to Christ. Love over hate, compassion over indifference and grace always.
