Luke 17:3-4...Forgiveness Is Best...

…”If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”

It may not be today or it might have been yesterday. There will be a time when someone will sin against each of us. What we do in that situation will cut to the very core of who we are and what we profess. We are instructed (here in this passage) to rebuke those who sin against us but also to forgive them if they repent. Even if it seven times in a day. As Christians we need always to remember that forgiveness starts with Christ and the fact that His death on the cross provides forgiveness for all the sin the world. Forgiveness is an attribute that we should wield freely even though it is difficult at times. It is our charge, our purpose to share the love and the forgiveness of Christ. To share the gospel of Christ and the forgiveness of sin through His death on the cross. Thank you Lord for my salvation.
