Luke 19:2-6...Help Show the Way..
A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-figtree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
Remember when you used to go to a parade and how it was important to get a good seat to see all of the sights on the street. Or maybe you have attended a concert and longed for a better seat so that you could see the talent or famous person on stage. This desire or yearning was even more pronounced in Zacchaeus because he wanted to see Jesus. He was even willing to climb into a tree to get a glimpse and once he was there he was able to see. At that same moment Jesus spoke to him. Jesus was there when we sought after Him as well and He is still there for those that are looking. Reassure those around you that God knows who they are, that God cares for them. Share the love of Christ and the gospel of His salvation…
