2 Corinthians 8:7...Thankful In Giving...

But since you excel in everything - in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you - see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

God has given us much to be thankful for and hopefully we give thanks each day for His gifts. Not all of which are material possessions. We are wealthy beyond what we can possibly imagine and being so blessed we are expected to share with those in need. Charity is not something that institutions or governments were ever expected to underwrite, rather it is a personal calling for each of us to find the needs and to attend to them, privately and without recognition. Be sensitive to the needs of others around you and pray for what relief you may bring.
