Proverbs 22:1...Reputation...

“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”

A good name is not something you can bestow upon yourself, even though during our election cycles you might be otherwise persuaded or convinced. A good name is something you earn through your kindness and love for others, through humility and compassion. These are attributes that we should exercise daily as Christians yet we struggle at times. It is then that we simply ask Christ to fill us with His love, to take over and to work through us. Our struggle happens most often when we try to take control rather than give it override to God.
