Matthew 5:43-46...Love Your Enemies...

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you; Love your enemies and pray for those that persecute you, that you may be the sons of your Father in heaven, He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?..”

Loving those who love us is easy, it is natural and requires little effort. The same is true of hating those we consider enemies. Jesus did not teach about hate but rather about love, and how love overcomes hate, rights many wrongs and conquerors all. Sometime that is the hardest thing to remember, Love conquerors all. The Spirit of God that lives within us calls for us to love each other, to do more than is ask and to pray for those that seemingly have an axe to grind against us. Exercise the love that God gives and gather the reward of satisfaction.
