John 8:12...Step Out of the Darkness...

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

In Jesus’ day there were many that wandered around without ever acknowledging the fact that He was the Son of God. They were offended, put off and even disgusted by Jesus. Mostly because they were threatened by His authority and the fact that the truth was being revealed and their position of power over others would soon shrink. This is a common occurrence, even in the world today. When people obtain a great deal of power, perceived or real, the temptation to lord over others and dictate everything seeps in. This is easily recognized when they dictate your behavior and morals yet lack any self control over their own. This is walking in darkness and Jesus offered a solution for all. He is the light of the world and when we walk with Him we will have the light of life. Do not allow the shadows to darken your walk…
